Our guest this episode is noted Memphis author Lucius McGehee. We discuss his latest book, Memphis Reborn – 1880-1886 and all of the goings on of that short time period.
Lucius is a retired physician and 4th generation Memphian. He and his wife Holley live in the U of M area and have two grown sons.
Memphis Reborn is currently out of print but we’re trying to remedy that. Please leave a comment if you would like to purchase a copy when the 2nd edition is released. There is no actual commitment to this comment but we’d like to get a number.
We talk about David Park “Pappy” Hadden, the first president of the taxing district. Here is a link to a short bio.
