Mayhem in Memphis

Memphis was not always the genteel city on the river that we all remember. We’ve had our share of rowdy “ne’er-do-wells” over the years. In this episode Joe and I are joined by first time guest William Novarese, and our old friends Mike Vanelli and Wayne Dowdy. William is an expert on the history of law enforcement in Memphis. We’ll talk about the ‘petting parties’ and crime in the 1920’s as well as officers on their beat and the dangerous life they led.
